Sachin Tendulkar wants his son, Arjun Tendulkar, to start bowling spin just like Ravindra Jadeja.
In the recent month, Arjun came in the limelight again after earning a spot in Mumbai U-16 spot as an all-rounder; where Arjun is a left-hand batsman along with left-arm medium pacer. But at present, Sachin wants his son to start bowling spin rather than he continues his seam bowling, despite his excellent form where he grabbed 4 wickets along with a century.
Sachin actually worries about his son’s medium-pace bowling after watching the ongoing series between India vs South Africa; where Stuart Binny continue finding hard to earn a spot in the starting XI.
In an exclusive interview to the criclife, Tendulkar said, “I talked to Ishant Sharma after the match. He was very frustrated. He told me that he hates being a fast bowler especially with the pitches that are being made in India these days. I don’t want Arjun to end up like that. I also wanted to be a fast bowler, but luckily Dennis Lillie saved my career and advised me to become a batsman. Arjun is still young and can remodel his action to become a left arm spinner instead of a left arm seam bowler. Look at how Jadeja has been successful and look how Shakib has been doing for Bangladesh. I want Arjun to grow up with Ravindra Jadeja as his role model!”
