The young English cricketer Sam Curran has replaced Moeen Ali for the upcoming away T20I series against Windies on the Caribbean soil.
England team is currently busy in the five-match ODI series against the host side Windies. While Moeen Ali is featuring in the ongoing ODI series, he has decided to take rest during the upcoming T20I series. The English spin-bowling all-rounder wants to start his forthcoming IPL journey freshly, and that’s why he wants this crucial rest.

Moeen Ali will feature for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2019. While the tournament will begin on 23 March, RCB will play the opening match against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chennai.
Earlier, the selectors have also rested Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler for the same reason. Both the English cricketers will play for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in this IPL season. As England has a hectic international schedule in the new international season, the selectors and coaches are focusing on resting their crucial players. After the IPL 2019, England will have two major international assignments, 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup and 2019 Ashes.
As a replacement of Moeen Ali, the 20-year-old Sam Curran has earned the T20I call-up. The left-arm pacer and left-handed lower-order batsman made his international debut in last June. While he has played nine Tests and two ODIs, he has widely impressed with his Test cricket performances. However, the young cricketer is still waiting to make his T20I debut.
