1.Rohit Sharma vs Australia: 37 innings

After Sachin Tendulkar left the opening slot in 2013, Rohit Sharma successfully took over the charge. He followed his idol’s path and build the 2000 ODI runs record in the least innings against Australia. He accomplished this in 37 innings, faster than Sachin.
Interestingly, Rohit scored his maiden double century against Australia in Champions trophy in 2013. At that time, he was just promoted to opening slot but proved his worth instantly.
Overall, so far, the Mumbaikar has scored over 9000 runs in 224 ODI matches, striking 29 centuries and 43 half-centuries.
