Former Indian explosive opener Virender Sehwag has revealed which old school cricketer he want to see in the upcoming World T20 2016. And it is none other than Yuvraj Singh who make real comeback in the Indian team in the ongoing Asia Cup T20.
Sehwag is very happy on Yuvraj Singh’s comeback in the international circuit. Sehwag told Cricbuzz about the left-hander batsman, “I am very happy for Yuvraj Singh. He’s one player I want to see in the World Cup. If he comes at the top of the order and gets a chance to play at number 4, then I will look forward to seeing him play his natural, typical Yuvi innings. So I am hoping that he will come with good performances in the T20 World Cup.”
Sehwag is very confident about Indian bowling for the upcoming WT20 where he also thinks that Yuvraj could be a good part-time bowler. Sehwag said, “I have confidence in our bowlers that – (Ravichandran) Ashwin, (Ravindra) Jadeja, (Ashish) Nehra, (Jasprit) Bumrah – they will deliver. Even the part-timers – Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina – will deliver since the matches are happening in India and we will get some turn on our wickets.”
Sehwag believes that the inclusion of three senior cricketers will be proved helpful for the Indian skipper MS Dhoni. Sehwag spoke out, “It is difficult for Dhoni to get different kinds of suggestions from the youngsters. These three senior and experienced players are playing, so he will get different kinds of suggestions from them and he can implement whichever he likes.”
Sehwag added further, “In the past, when Dhoni was leading and there was no other senior player around him, he was not getting enough information or enough suggestions from the players which he can implement in the game. But in this T20 World Cup, he has senior players who can give suggestions and if he likes them, he can implement in the game. If somebody is going for runs, then maybe Nehra or Yuvraj or Harbhajan can give him advice and suggestion, set the field for him and he can bowl according to what they suggest.”
