The legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne has recently revealed his best ever batsman in the cricket history. He also praised the present Indian captain Virat Kohli who is consistently moving to the better place in his favourite batsman list.
According to Warne, the Caribbean legend Sir Vivian Richards is the best ever batsman he has ever seen. The legendary off-spinner named the legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and the legendary Caribbean cricketer Brian Lara as his two best batters during his playing time. However, Warne has been amazed by the consistent performances of the present Indian captain Virat Kohli. The legendary leggie feels that Kohli has the ability to reach the level of Sir Vivian Richards in his favourite batsman list.
Warne claimed in the Instagram live, “Viv is the best batsman I have ever seen. Sachin (Tendulkar) and (Brian) Lara are the two best batters I have played with and now across all formats Virat is just the best. It is tough to think anyone is better than Viv but Virat is pushing that conversation.”
I want Steven Smith to bat as much as he can with no more distractions: Shane Warne
Steven Smith recently ended his two-year suspension from the captaincy as he is now available to lead Australia in the international cricket. However, Warne wants to see Smith’s more success as a batsman as he believes that Tim Paine should continue the Test captaincy.
Warne said, “If Tim Paine can make runs, he should continue as captain. I want Smith to bat as much as he can with no more distractions. Paine has to make runs. I feel Steve should be allowed to bat till the rest of his career, not other distractions.
“Steve Smith…tough to go past him he is my favourite at the moment. What mental toughness, love watching David Warner too. Top three would be Smith, Kohli and Kane Williamson.”
Former Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain and the Present Rajasthan Royals Brand Ambassador, Shane Warne has also wished to coach an IPL side in future.
