Shane Warne Reveals His Best Captain He Played Against
The legendary Australian leg-spinner Shane Warne has recently revealed his greatest New Zealand playing XI against whom he played in the international career. During this selection, he also revealed his best opposition captain.

In this free time, Shane Warne is revealing his favourite playing XIs of many ICC Full Members. Warne recently picked up his best New Zealand playing XI during his time.
While the legendary leg-spinner chose Stephen Fleming as the captain of this team, he also claimed Fleming was also his best-ever opposition captain. According to him, Fleming knew how to get the best of his teammates.
In the Instagram live session, Warne said, “Stephen Fleming was the best captain I played against in my time, he knew how to get the best of his team-mates. He should have made more hundreds.”
During his international career, Fleming was the opposition captain in 31 international matches (14 Tests and 17 ODIs).
Shane Warne lauded Daniel Vettori
Talking about his best opposition New Zealand XI, Warne chose John Wright and Brendon McCullum as the openers. After Andrew Jones and Martin Crowe, Warne took the name of his most favourite opposition captain. Then the next three names were Nathan Astle, Chris Cairns and Daniel Vettori. Warne also praised Vettori for impressing as an all-rounder.
Warne added, “Vettori turned himself into an amazing all-rounder, he scored few hundreds in his career.”
While the left-handed batsman Vettori hit 23 Test half-centuries, he also registered six Test centuries. After batting in 174 Test innings (113 Test matches), Vettori scored 4,531 Test runs with an average 30.00.
At the end of this list, Warne named three Kiwi pacers, and those were Shane Bond, Simon Doull and Danny Morrison.
