Shoaib Akhtar responded to the news going around on Danish Kaneria after he revealed about the discrimination faced by the Hindu minority cricketer in his country’s team.

Danish Kaneria is a Hindu ex-Pakistani cricketer who dedicated ten years to the national team. The spinner played 61 Test matches and 18 ODIs for his country. Kaneria agreed with Shoaib Akhtar’s earlier statement which he said in an interview where he talked about Pakistan’s dressing room environment.

In his Youtube channel, Akhtar expressed that there are two to three players in every team who do not follow the code of conduct. He clarified that he was talking about those players, not about the whole Pakistan team.

Shoaib clarified the fact because he was receiving severe backlash from many Pakistani teammates over the shocking allegations of discrimination.

“For the past two days, a big controversy has been created around me, and I was listening and watching all this, and what I wanted to do was to carefully listen and understand what was being said by people, so I was taking my sweet time,” Shoaib Akhtar said.

“There is an unwritten contract in the team culture which says that we will respect each other, but some hesitation was shown from the side of the players (to implement this). This is not the code of conduct of our team.”

“This is due to one or two such players, and such one or two players exist everywhere. All I did was talk about one or two black sheep that could be found in India or Pakistan or England or Holland anywhere in the world,” Akhtar signed off.

Danish Kaneria released a video where he said that he didn’t vocal earlier about the subject because he hadn’t the courage to speak in this regard. Kaneria added that he loved to play for his country and dedicated his ten years after giving his blood to the cricket pitch.
