Shubhman Gill completed his primary schooling at Manav Mangal Smart School which is located in Mohali, Punjab. Shubhman Gill finished school in the 12th standard. Shubman Gill made his List A cricket debut for Punjab against the Vidarbha team on February 25, 2017, as part of the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Gill’s first List A game saw him score just 11 runs. Following this, on November 27, 2017, Gill made his first-class debut for Punjab against Bengal in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy. In this game, he played a great inning where he scored 63 runs.
