Gone are those days when Sourav Ganguly used to be the skipper of the Indian cricket while the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag was the core of the batting lineup alongside Harbhajan Singh, Kumble and Zaheer in the bowling section. Meanwhile, Nasser Hussain recollects those days.
Earlier, under the captaincy of Mohammad Azharuddin, the Indian team wasn’t a threating force in the overseas and always used to be the defensive minded. Then came Sourav Ganguly, who completely changed the scenario with his ruthless captaincy.

After taking the captaincy reigns post-match-fixing scenario, Sourav Ganguly led the Indian National Cricket Team with his astute captaincy. The flamboyant batsman has led the team from the front and never entertained any such match-fixing issues in the Indian cricket.
Meanwhile, Nasser Hussain quoted that Sourav Ganguly has made the Indian team from nice cricketing nation to the ruthless, who only played to win the game.
“Indian cricket changed because of Ganguly,” Hussain said during a TV show. “Sourav was never bothered about being friends with people. He transformed them from a nice cricketing nation to a ruthless one which was only interested in winning,” he said.
Virat Kohli can break Sachin Tendulkar record:
Further, he went on to add saying that the Indian skipper Virat Kohli has been sensational for the country. He believes that Virat Kohli can break every record of Sachin Tendulkar before he calls time on his career.
“Virat is not worried about anything else other than winning games for the country. That is his greatest asset as a captain, I feel. I thought there never will be someone to replace Sachin, but Kohli is going to break them all — just a phenomenal achievement by a phenomenal player,” said Hussain.
Well, as Nasser Hussain said, Sourav Ganguly has lifted the souls in the Indian cricket. They showed their capability by winning the series in overseas conditions against the top-class teams in the world cricket.
