India Women’s Team Have Done A Great Job: Sourav Ganguly

After the outstanding performances in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020, the India Women team suffered a thrashing defeat in the final of this tournament against Australia Women. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly admitted that the Aussie side played the final really well but also praised the Indian team for playing good cricket in the entire tournament.

India Women started the tournament with the 17 runs victory against the hosts and defending champions Australia Women. It hugely raised the confidence of the Indian players where many youngsters were serving in this global tournament. India Women continued that momentum in the entire group stage as they finished on top of the points table of Group A (8 points) after winning all the four matches of the group.

While the Aussie team scored 184/4 (20 overs) in the first innings, the bowled out India Women for just 99 runs (19.1 overs) and won that final match by 85 runs.
