While there are reports that former bowler Ajit Agarkar and Tamil Nadu-born spinner Laxman Sivaramakrishnan are likely to get the chance.
BCCI has proclaimed the criteria to pass for the selector’s jobs. An applicant should have played seven Test matches and 30 first-class matches or 10 ODIs and 20 first-class matches. Also, the selection panel should have retired from the game at least five years previously.
