Surprising selection call from Australia highlighted the first ODI of the series played last week at Paarl. Despite being the most consistent perfumer inT20Is, Ashton Agar was kept out of playing XI in the penning ODI. He was pipped by batsman turned all-rounder D’Arcy Short, who didn’t take a wicket in five overs and scored 18 runs. Agar is likely to play the second ODI.

For South Africa, the win came as a big relief and a victory in Bloemfontein will finally see them register a series victory in the season. The home team successfully defended a total of 291 in the opening ODI and won by 74 runs.
Conditions –
The track at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein is a high-scoring one and expect both the teams to pile on big totals. Usually, teams like to bat second when the nature of the pitch remains the same throughout.
Here is the playing XI of both the teams –

Bowled on the first delivery of his Test career, Janeman Malan will eye redemption in the second ODI. Captain Quinton de Kock is unlikely to tinker with the winning combination and expect same playing XI in the second ODI as well.
