Kohli took 161 innings (169 matches) to complete his 7,000 ODI career runs, which is the fastest to complete this feat (by innings and matches). The previous record holder was AB de Villiers (South Africa/ Africa XI) who had completed his 7,000 ODI career runs in 166 innings (172 matches).
