Highest runs scored by no.8 – In first ODI of 5-match series between England and Sri Lanka at Trent Bridge, England’s no.8 batsman Chris Woakes had played a brilliant match saving 95* runs innings (that match resulted in a tie). It is the highest individual ODI runs scored by a no.8 batsman. The previous record was 84 runs by Thomas Odoyo (Kenya) against Bangladesh at Nairobi (Gym) on 13th August 2006.
