Fastest to 11,000 career runs (by days) – On the opening day of the 5th Test between India and England (5-match Test series) at Chennai, England Test captain and opening batsman Alastair Cook completed his 11,000 Test career runs. Cook became the fastest to complete (by days) 11,000 Test runs after he took 10 years and 290 days to achieve this feat. The previous record holder was Rahul Dravid (India) who had taken 13 years and 149 days to complete 11,000 Test career runs.
