Oldest bowler to take Hat-trick – On the day 2 of the 2nd Test between Sri Lanka and Australia (3-match Test series) at Galle, Sri Lankan left-arm spinner Rangana Herath claimed a Test hat-trick at the age of 38 years and 139 days. With that hat-trick, Rangana Herath became the oldest Test bowler to claim a hat-trick. Herath broke the record of England off-spinner Tom Goddard, who had claimed a Test hat-trick at the age of 38 years and 86 days (against South Africa at Johannesburg in 1938).
