Most catches taken by a wicket-keeper in a calendar year – On day 3 of the fourth Test between India and England (5-match Test series) at Mumbai, England wicket-keeper Jonny Bairstow became the new record holder of most Test catches taken by a wicket-keeper in a calendar year.
The previous record holder was former South African wicket-keeper Mark Boucher with 65 Test catches (1998). Bairstow took 66 Test catches as a wicket-keeper in 2016.
