Misbah’s ton at Lord’s – Pakistan’s tour of England was the best Test series played in the year 2016. In this series, Pakistan did not just show that an Asian country can win in England but also showed that an Asian country can outshine them in all departments.
As per expectation, Pakistan team started poorly losing three wickets before even crossing the hundred run mark on day one but then came the moment when senior pros Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis khan steered the team to salvage some pride. After Younis Khan’s dismissal, Misbah didn’t lose hope and went on to battle out for the whole day, finishing the day with a century to his name.
He celebrated the ton with 10 push-ups in the middle of the ground. In the end, Pakistan defeated England at Lord’s and it was Misbah’s innings that really turned the fortune of Pakistan in the series.
