Faf Du Plessis century in Pink ball Test: South Africa had already won the series to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 with crucial pink ball Test match to go before skipper Faf Du Plessis came under the scanner for ball tampering.
The whole team, led by Hashim Amla, paraded in support of the captain. The unwelcoming crowd and boos were expected at Adelaide.
The pressure was right on South African skipper as the team was wobbling at a score of 44/3 but then skipper Du Plessis took the charge and carried his bat till the last, scoring 118*. His innings, however, was not enough as South Africa could just score 259 in the first innings.
In the end, Australia won the match as they were asked to chase just 127 runs in the final innings. Still, this innings was the best answer by a wounded tiger to the critics.
