Pakistan made a good comeback in the 3-match ODI series against West Indies after beating West Indies in the 2nd ODI at Providence Stadium (Guyana). After winning the toss, West Indies decided to bowl first. With the help of a century by Babar Azam, Pakistan managed to score 282/5 in 50 overs.

(at Sharjah on 5th November 1993).

iii) Also, it is the highest individual ODI score by a batsman at the Providence Stadium (Guyana). The previous record holder was former Sri Lankan batsman Sanath Jayasuriya with 115 runs at this ground on 1st April 2007.

 

  1. This ODI century was Babar Azam’s 4th ODI century against West Indies. It is the joint most no.of ODI centuries against West Indies by an Asian batsman. Indian legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar had also 4 ODI centuries against West Indies.
