The famous Bollywood and Tollywood actress Tamannaah Bhatia was recently spotted at the sidelines of the T10 league at Abu Dhabi. There’s no surprise when an actor or actress is spotted during any cricket league. Cricket is celebrated like a different religion throughout the nation.
During the Indian Premier League which is conducted in the early summer break, many Bollywood celebrities could be seen enjoying the game.
Abu Dhabi T10 is the official first-ever international league with a ten overs format in cricket. The famous Bahubali actress was seen at Abu Dhabi during the final match between Deccan Gladiators and Maratha Arabians.
During that match, Tamannaah revealed that MS Dhoni is her favourite cricketer of all. However, the veteran star is yet to feature in any cricket event ever since his sabbatical after India’s ouster in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 semi-final in July.
Tamannaah: ‘Dhoni is someone I’m a big fan of‘
The former skipper is loved, admired and respected by all the cricket fans and the cricketers and Tamannaah is among one of those giant fans of the cricketer.
During the tournament, she was asked by a reporter who she admires most among the cricketers all over the world. The actress was quick to come up with MS Dhoni’s name. She said that she is a massive fan of Dhoni and being an Indian her admiration for the cricketer is obvious.
“Well I mean I am from India, so, you know Dhoni is someone I’m a big fan of,” Tamannaah replied when queried about her favorite cricketer.
Meanwhile, Tamannah has also performed during the opening ceremony of the IPL 2018. The Bahubali star has been on stage for many stage-shows and awards shows. However, she defines her experience on the eve of IPL 2018 opening as a totally different feeling.
“Before this, I have never performed for a sports event and of course, when you are on a stage there is a certain feeling of nervousness and excitement. As a performer, the feeling to perform in a stadium and to feel the energy of the audience will be completely different. I am excited because there is no better sports event than IPL to perform. We are all crazy about cricket and it’s the opening night,” said Tamannaah to the media reporters ahead of the final rehearsal of the IPL 2018 ceremony.
On the other hand, the favourite-of-all MS Dhoni is expected to be seen in the IPL 2020. There is still no chance of him sharing the cricket ground with his international team any time soon. Recently, Dhoni has clarified that he needs more time, at least till January 2020, to decide his cricket future.
Tamannaah also revealed her favourite IPL franchise which is none other than the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
“Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is my favorite franchise, it has Dhoni and I am a huge fan, so I am looking forward to seeing them play,” she added.
MS Dhoni-led franchise will look forward to winning their fourth IPL title in the IPL 2020. At present, Mumbai Indians remain the most successful franchise with four title trophies on their shelf. MI defeated CSK by just One run in the IPL 2019 final.
