Abdul Aziz (Nationality: Pakistan) – 1959
Pakistan’s domestic wicketkeeper-batsman Abdul Aziz lost his life at the age of just 17 years. During the first innings of the Quaid-e-Azam final against Pakistan Combined Services in 1959, Karachi batsman Aziz received a blow on his chest when he was facing the off-spinner Dildwar Awan. Aziz’s weak heart couldn’t handle that blow and he fell on the ground while he was preparing for the next ball. He never regained consciousness as he died before reaching to the nearby hospital.
