It was one of the best game for the 33-year-old Richard Beaumont but a tragedy took his life in that same game. During the Worcestershire league match, between Pedmore Cricket Club’s first team and Astwood Bank CC, Beaumont suffered a massive heart attack and went down. He was rushed to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth hospital through the air ambulance, but all the hard work went in vain.
Before suffering the heart attack, Richard Beaumont took five wickets in that same game.
