- Wicket
Like the previous three terms, “Wicket” is also a very common cricketing term which is used on several occasions.
a) A set of stumps with bails on top are known as a wicket. Wicket is very important equipment for cricket. In a wicket, there are three stumps and two bails. In a cricket match, there are two wickets used in the both the ends of 22-yards pitch.

b) Verbally, pitches are also known as wickets. Sometimes experts use the term “wicket” instead of “pitch”.

c) The dismissal of a batsman is also described as a wicket for the bowlers.
