#2. 3-16 Vs Pakistan in the 2007 T20 World Cup Final.

Irfan Pathan was once again at his best against arch-nemesis Pakistan in the final of the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007. India posted a fighting score of 157 runs after skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and decided to bat. Subsequently, Pathan scalped three crucial wickets to help India register a five-run win.
The swing master conceded only 16 runs in his quota of four overs as he bowled with an economy of four. The left-arm medium-pacer snared the important wickets of Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik, dangerous Shahid Afridi, and Yasir Arafat. Ergo, Irfan Pathan was awarded the Man of the match for his superb spell which kept Pakistan at bay.
Pathan took a total of 10 wickets in the seven matches of the tourney and he was instrumental in the success of the Indian team.
