- William Gilbert Grace, Fred Grace and Edward Grace (England)
Once the Grace trio, William Gilbert Grace (famous as W.G.Grace), Fred Grace and Edward Grace had played a Test match together for England. It was the match between England vs Australia at the Oval in September 1880 where the three brothers made debut in international cricket. It was the Test no. 4 and in those times, the overs comprised of only 4 balls and the matches ran for 3 days instead of 5-days like today’s Test cricket.

WG Grace
It was the first time that there were 3 brothers were playing in the same match. In the first innings, Edward Grace and WG Grace were the openers and Fred Grace was the lower-order batsman. In the second innings, Fred Grace was the opener and other two brothers were middle order batsmen. It was the memorable match for WG Grace as he played a superb knock of 152 runs in the first innings and also took 3 wickets in the match. England won the match easily by 5 wickets. On the other hand, the other Grace brothers had put in an ordinary performance. Edward Grace had scored 36 runs (1st innings) and 0 (2nd innings) while Fred Grace was dismissed on duck in the both innings.

Fred Grace
WG Grace was the famous English cricketer who had played 22 Tests for England but he had also played 870 first-class matches. He was a genius all-rounder who scored 54,211 runs and also took 2,809 wickets in his first-class career. On the other hand, his other brothers had not featured in the international cricket after their debut match.
