Cricket is a fascinating game; it’s equally the game of glorious uncertainties. Also, in India, the die-hard fans consider it as the religion.

Furthermore, it has gained a lot of popularity over the decades, which eventually saw more witnessing the famous game.

India won the first-ever World Cup title in 1983.

However, it took India 28 years to win the second title in 2011. At the iconic Wankhede, India lifts the ODI showpiece title by six wickets against Sri Lanka.

In 2007, India lifted the inaugural edition of the T20 by thrashing Pakistan. Recently, Team India had jumped to the No. 1 ranking in the ODI showpiece in the United Kingdom (UK).

Over the decades, India had witnessed some exceptional batsmen in the day-long format. The star cricketers have had seen fans backing them following their sheer hardwork and dedication.

Let’s have a look at the three batters whose ODI career came to a sudden halt:

Yuvraj Singh:

The southpaw had played an outstanding role for India in the 10th edition of the World Cup. Also, he had a memorable knock against Australia in his debut during 2000.

The left-handed batsman Yuvraj had scored 84, which eventually reflected then that he is the high-quality batsman.

In the day-long cricket, Yuvraj had accumulated 8701 runs at an average of 36.56. During his career, he had scored at the strike-rate of 87.

Following his dismal show in the 2014 T20 World Cup, Yuvraj was sidelined from the Men in Blue. However, in the space of one year, he had made a spectacular comeback by slamming 150 against the Three Lions.

However, after the 2017 Windies tour, Yuvraj had been overlooked which eventually saw him announcing retirement on June 10, 2019.
