Cancellation of pink-ball Test during India tour of Australia 2020/21
While the Indian team has the schedule to tour in Australia in 2020/21 summer for the full international series as well as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2020, the visitors have already agreed to play a day/night pink-ball Test in this tour. The Cricket Australia (CA) was getting ready to schedule a day/night pink-ball Test during the four-match Test series between Australia and India, but the coronavirus has destroyed every calculation.
Though the coronavirus is still dominating the world, many are still confident about the India tour of Australia 2020/21. But as the cricketers are totally out of the game, if this situation has been extended for longer, the possibilities of the pink-ball Test between Australia and India will be dull due to the lack of preparation time for the Indian team. Even though the Test series go on, the BCCI may want to avoid the day/night pink-ball Test match.
