The 24-year-old English all-rounder Tom Curran is looking forward to participating in the upcoming IPL 2020 and achieve success for his team.
In the IPL 2020 auction, Rajasthan Royals (RR) bought Tom Curran for the base price (INR 1 crore). The English youngster is very excited to participate in the upcoming IPL 2020.
Tom Curran made his IPL debut for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2018. In that edition, the youngster played five matches and picked up six wickets. He is now getting ready to serve for Rajasthan Royals, where he will have to play along with Steven Smith, Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler. The English cricketer feels lucky to get a good opportunity to play with these top cricketers.
Curran told IANS, “It will be a great experience. Have been lucky to have played with and against them for a bit and know them well and looking forward to play with them and win games for the Royals.”
While Tom Curran takes the major responsibility with the ball in hand, he is also a powerful big hitter in the lower-order batting. When Curran was asked whether he tried to emulate the top-class English all-rounder Ben Stokes, the youngster lauded the senior’s effort.
Curran claimed, “I know Stoksey as a good mate and honestly, his training is second to none. It is great to be around such a great player.”
