Toggle2. Stephen Fleming

Former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming was a reputed and respected cricketer. Undoubtedly, he was one of the best captains in New Zealand cricket history. But very surprisingly, Fleming also involved in drug controversy in his early international career.
In 1993/94, Fleming and the few other New Zealand cricketers faced bans for smoking in recreational purposes. Though the investigation didn’t find him guilty for using performance-enhancing drugs, he used smoking pot along with some other New Zealand cricketers.
Later, Fleming faced a fine of $175 and also faced a few matches suspension. Fleming claimed that the incident resulted in around 10 thousand in legal fees and he also lost sponsorship.
