Wasim Akram is regarded as one of the greatest fast bowlers in the history of game. He still preserves the world record for most wickets in first-class cricket with 881 wickets and is second only to former Sri Lankan off-spinner, Muttiah Muralitharan in terms of ODI wickets with 502.
He was the first bowler to touch the 500-wicket mark in One-Day Internationals during the 2003 World Cup. The former Pakistan captain even has 23 four-wicket hauls in the b50-0vers format from 356 matches he played.
