Kapil Dev became the legend of Indian cricket after his captaincy gave India their first ever Cricket World Cup in 1983. Named by Wisden as the Indian Cricketer of the Century in 2002, Kapil Dev was undoubtedly one of the greatest all-rounders of all time. He also coached India for 10 months between October 1999 and August 2000.
Kapil used to be a right-arm pace bowler famous for his graceful action and effective outswinger and served the role of India’s main strike bowler for most of his career. He picked up 91 wickets during his captaincy and that feat gives Kapil the 7th position on this list.
