The African team South Africa started the Test cricket in 1889 as the third Test team. However, due to the suspension and other reasons, they missed out international cricket for some large periods. They returned to the Test cricket in 1991 which gradually opened a new chapter.
They also showed their dominance in Test cricket from the late years of 2000 decade.
