World Cup 2003
No one would have thought the Indian team could reach the finals of the 2003 World Cup, especially after their poor performances in the first two matches. Cricket fans and former players were criticizing the team on their poor show. But again, it was Sourav Ganguly who held his nerves and took the team forward in the campaign.
The Men in Blue came back strongly and beat every big team that came their way. They defeated Kenya in semi-finals, who were trained by Sandeep Patil back then. Though Dada’s army lost the final game, it was team India who was in talks after their tremendous show in the biggest tournament.
