Ross Taylor (New Zealand) – 181* against England at Dunedin on 7th March 2018

It was the high scoring fourth ODI of the five-match series between the hosts New Zealand and the visitors England. It was the must-win game for New Zealand who were trailing that series by 2-1. After the New Zealand team decided to bowl first, England scored 335/9 in 50 overs, thanks to the centuries of the opener Jonny Bairstow (138) and Joe Root (102).
In reply, New Zealand lost both their openers inside the three overs while both those openers failed to open their respective accounts. However, the experienced batsman Ross Taylor was not in the mood to let the game go easily, rather than, he slowly brought the team into the game. After the 84 runs partnership with the skipper Kane Williamson for the third wicket, Taylor also put the 187 runs partnership for the fourth wicket along with the wicket-keeper batsman Tom Latham.
Taylor completed his century in 98 balls and then he batted more aggressively to secure an incredible series-level victory. He remained not out on 181 runs off 147 balls (17 fours and 6 sixes) as New Zealand chased down that target in 49.3 overs after losing five wickets.
