Younis Khan (Pakistan) – 144 against Hong Kong at Colombo (SSC) on 18th July 2004

It was the Group Stage (Group A) match in the Asia Cup 2004. After the Pakistan team decided to bat first, while their openers were dismissed cheaply, Shoaib Malik and Younis Khan handled the inexperienced Hong Kong bowlers very well and set up the 223 runs partnership for the third wicket.
While Malik was run out on 118 runs, Khan stretched his batting for further and scored 144 runs off 122 balls (8 fours and 3 sixes).
Pakistan finally scored 343/5 (50 overs), while Hong Kong were bundled out for just 165 runs in 44.1 overs (target 339 runs in 47 overs).
