Hansie Cronje – 162Top Five Cricketers To Play Most Consecutive ODIs 1

South African cricket’s tragic hero late Hansie Cronje can be found third in the most number of consecutive ODI matches list.

He had played 162 consecutive matches between 4 September 1993 and 27 March 2000.

Cronje was no doubt the face of South African cricket throughout the 1990s. He enjoyed a key role to reinstate South African cricket as a consistent dominating force in world cricket after their much anticipated historic return to international arena.

Known as a complete team man, who many still believe could have done nothing wrong in any day, Cronje shocked the world to leave the game as well as his respectable image as a tainted sports person involved in the infamous match-fixing.
