2011 ICC Cricket World Cup: Semi-Final

On 30th March 2011, India and Pakistan met in the semi-final of 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup at Mohali. Indian captain MS Dhoni decided to bat first after winning the toss.
There were some big moments in the crucial first innings of that game. In the third over of that first innings, Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag hit five fours to the Pakistan pacer Umar Gul. Moreover, Pakistan fielders missed many good opportunities to dismiss the Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who finally scored 85 runs off 115 balls.
While Sehwag (38 runs) was the second most run-scorer in that innings, Suresh Raina (36*) also played a crucial knock in the end. These batting performances helped India to manage 260/9 in 50 overs.
Among the Pakistan pacers, Wahab Riaz had the impressive bowling figures of 10-0-46-5.
In reply, Pakistan was losing their wickets at regular intervals of their innings. They had no long settled partnerships in that innings as Pakistan was bundled out for just 231 runs (49.5 overs). Misbah-ul-Haq (56 runs) fought till the end of the match, but it wasn’t enough for them as India won by 29 runs.
All the Indian bowlers of that match took two wickets each. These Indian bowlers were Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh.
