Misbah-ul-Haq (Pakistan: Test)

The 36-year-old Misbah-ul-Haq played only 19 Tests over eight years when he started to earn the full-time captaincy of Pakistan national cricket team in 2010. Though he earlier led the national side in one ODI and one T20I, it was in the absence of regular captains.
Just a few months ago of his Test captaincy debut in 2010, Misbah was thinking about his retirement from cricket. However, the senior players’ crisis in the Pakistan national cricket team totally changed his fate. After Salman Butt faced the spot-fixing charges, Misbah took over the Test captaincy charge and later, he also earned the limited-overs captaincies. Though he only managed to lead Pakistan in eight T20Is, he led Pakistan in 56 Tests and 87 ODIs.
