Former Sri Lankan cricketer Kumar Sangakkara was one of the greatest wicket-keeper batsmen, who maintained the same image in every format. From 2000 to 2015, Sangakkara played 594 international matches (third most capped player in international cricket history), where he played 464 games as a designated wicket-keeper.
During his international career as a designated wicket-keeper, Sangakkara scored 17840 runs with an average of 41.87. The left-handed batsman hit 30 centuries and 110 fifties during this period. His best knock in international cricket as a designated wicket-keeper batsman was 230 runs in a Test innings.
