Most consecutive T20I wins
On 15th September 2019, Afghanistan broke their record of most consecutive T20I wins and created a new record as it was their 12th successive T20I victory. This winning rally started on 5th February 2008, and it ran for more than one-and-a-half-year.
In September 2019, during the T20I tri-series in Bangladesh, Afghanistan beat Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in two back-to-back days and broke their previous record of 11 successive T20I victories (27th March 2016 and 12th March 2017). Also, after that victory, Afghanistan equalled Australia’s record of most consecutive T20Is without a defeat (12 matches).
However, in the next match of that T20I tri-series, Afghanistan finished that incredible winning streak after losing against Zimbabwe by seven wickets.
