On 29th September 2019, Malaysian captain Virandeep Singh created history by becoming the youngest captain in T20I history. It was the match against Vanuatu at Kuala Lumpur on 29th September 2019 where Virandeep Singh created that history after leading his team at the age of 20 years and 190 days.

Bostwana captain Tshepo Phaswana was the previous record holder in this list as he led his team for the first time at the age of 20 years and 224 days (against Namibia at Kampala on 22nd May 2019).

Most runs in a T20I debut match:

On 14th October 2019, during the game against Bulgaria at Corfu, Serbian wicketkeeper-batsman Leslie Dunbar made his T20I debut along with his team and scored 104 not out off 61 balls. It is the new record of most runs in a T20I debut match.

The previous record was 101 runs by Canadian Ravinderpal Singh (101 against the Cayman Islands at Sandys Parish on 18th August 2019) and Namibian JP Kotze (101* against Bostwana at Windhoek on 20 August 2019).
