Most maidens in T20I career
On 2nd February 2020, the Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah created history after breaking the former Sri Lankan pacer Nuwan Kulasekara’s record of most maidens in T20I career. Kulasekara managed to bowl six maidens in his T20I career.
Meanwhile, during the Mount Maunganui T20I against New Zealand, Bumrah delivered a maiden over which was his seventh maiden overs in T20I career. Earlier, Bumrah equalled Kulasekara’s record in this list in the same season after delivering a maiden over during the Pune T20I against Sri Lanka on 10th January 2020.
Best bowling figures in an innings on T20I debut
On 20th February 2020, during the Kuala Lumpur T20I against Hong Kong, Malaysian debutant off-spinner Khizar Hayat created a new record of best bowling figures in an innings on T20I debut. He ended the game with the bowling figures of 2-0-4-5.
The previous record-holder was the right-arm medium-pacer Ankush Nanda (Luxembourg). On his T20I debut against Turkey at Ilfov County on 29th August 2019, he had the bowling figures of 2.3-0-6-5.
