Top Ten Best Catches By The Wicketkeepers In International Cricket 1

Former New Zealand wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum played as a designed wicketkeeper in 278 matches out of his 432 international matches. Apart from his batting, McCullum was also famous for his outstanding fielding effort.

This catch McCullum took during the second ODI of their five-match home ODI series against England at Wellington, where England was batting first, and Ian Bell was facing the first ball.

After some aggressive start, English opener Philip Mustard lost his wicket, and Ian Bell just joined the crease. Facing the first delivery, Bell decided to leave that, but Chris Martin’s ball surprised him with the bounce, hit on his toe of the bat and travelled almost to the first slip. However, the wicketkeeper Brendon McCullum made a confident high dive and successfully snatched a stunning catch that amazed everyone. It was Bell’s first ODI golden duck, and Brendon McCullum was widely responsible for that.
