During his international career, Brendon McCullum was always an active cricketer. He took some great catches both as a fielder and as a wicketkeeper. But this was one of the best catches in international cricket history.

It was the third and final Test match of the series between New Zealand and India at Wellington in April 2009. This incident happened during the three of that Wellington Test match when India was batting in thier second innings of that match.

Batting on 60 runs, Indian set batsman Rahul Dravid tried to play a paddle sweep to the left-arm spinner Daniel Vettori. Dravid placed that ball well wide from the wicket-keeping position, but Brendon McCullum was too good at that moment. Understanding Dravid’s mindset, McCullum quickly moved out from his position and grabbed that ball superbly to dismiss Dravid. That effort forced India to go down to 184/2 in that innings.
