7. Vinod Kambli

Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli played a memorable innings on his 21st birthday. On 18th January 1993, during the Jaipur ODI against England, Kambli scored his maiden international century. When India was struggling on 59/3 in the first innings, Kambli and his childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar provided an impressive unbroken 164-run partnership for the fourth wicket. While Tendulkar was not out on 82 runs (81 balls), Kambli remained not out on 100 runs (149 balls). Their partnership helped India to manage a fighting total of 223/3 (50 overs).
However, Kambli’s birthday century finally went in vain as England chased down that target in 48 overs after losing six wickets.
