Though Sri Lanka and India have suffered the same number of ODI defeats, which is 417, Sri Lanka has played a lesser number of ODI matches, which is just below the 850 ODIs. Since 1990, this Asian team has grown up in international cricket and has achieved many successes. Sri Lanka is one of the consistent teams in any ODI tournaments. Apart from winning the 1996 Cricket World Cups, Sri Lanka has also won the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy (joint-winners). Currently, the Sri Lankan national cricket team is facing a transition period, and that’s why they are hugely struggling to perform consistently.
