West Indies won the final round-robin match against South Africa at Bridgetown on Friday and booked their berth for final of the tri-nation series.
After winning the toss, South Africa sent West Indies to bat first. After a shaky start (21/4 in 5 overs), West Indies finally managed to score 285 runs (285/10 in 49.5 overs). Chasing down that total South Africa bowled out for just 185 runs in 46 overs. West Indies won the match by 100 runs and earned a much-needed bonus point to qualify for the final of the tri-nation series.
With this win, West Indies achieved total 13 points and finished at the second position in the points table while Australia finished at the top with 15 points and South Africa finished at third or last position in the points table with 12 points. On Sunday (26th June), West Indies will meet against Australia in the final of the tri-nation series.

- West Indian batsmen Darren Bravo and Kieron Pollard put a mammoth 156 runs partnership for the 5th wicket and saved the team. It was the best 5th wicket ODI partnership for West Indies. The previous best 5th wicket ODI partnership for West Indies was 154 runs by Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Carl Hooper against Pakistan at Sharjah on 17th February 2002.
- West Indian batsman Darren Bravo scored 102 runs in this match. It was the 4th time in ODI history that West Indian batsman hit a century against South Africa in West Indies. Last time a West Indian batsman hit a century against South Africa at West Indies was Chris Gayle (132) at Bridgetown on 11th May 2005.
- South African lower-order batsmen Imran Tahir and Morne Morkel put 51 runs partnership for the 10th wicket in this match. It was jointly second highest 10th wicket ODI partnership for South Africa.
- West Indies won the match by 100 runs. It was West Indies’ second-largest ODI victory against South Africa. The largest ODI victory for West Indies against South Africa was 107 runs at Kingston on 7th April 1992.
- It was the second time in ODI history that West Indies beat South Africa in West Indies after batted first. Also, it was the fifth time in ODI history that West Indies beat South Africa after batted first (in overall ODI matches between West Indies and South Africa).
