On 24th of July 2019, Sri Lankan star pacer Nuwan Kulasekara has called time on his international career. Thus, the tributes poured from the cricketing fraternity, which included Mohammad Kaif, who was trying to be very creative in his tribute. Thus, he had been on the receiving end following his tribute for star pacer.
In 2008, Kulasekara had topped the bowling charts in the ODI format. The lean bowler had made things miserable for top-notch batters. He had been immaculate with his line and length.
The Lankan had finished with 199 scalps to his name in the 50-over format.
Nuwan Kulasekara retires at 37:

Former Indian batsman and acrobatic fielder had addressed Kulasekara while talking about the 2011 World Cup grand finale when MS Dhoni finished off things in style by smashing a trademark six on the bowling of Kulasekara.
However, many on Twitter believe it is not the right way to pay tribute to the prominent bowler.
The 37-year-old Kulasekara had made his international debut in 2003. He had featured in 184 ODIs, 21 Tests and 58 T20Is until 2017. In the shortest version of the game, Kulasekara had bagged 66 wickets which included two four-wicket hauls at an average of 23.2.
It has been visible that Kulasekara’s inswings were a treat to watch during his heydays. Also, he has been instrumental for the Islanders during their World T20 truimph in 2014.
His retirement came after his former teammate Lasith Malinga had bid farewell to the ODI cricket.
Since 2018, Kulasekara didn’t feature in the competitive cricket. Recently, wasn’t part of the Lankan squad for the ICC World Cup 2019.
Besides, Kaif in his tweet, stated that the Wankhede moment is favourite for Indian fans which saw Kulasekara conceding 64 runs in 8.2 overs.
During the tenth edition of the World Cup, India has chased the target of 274 for the loss of four wickets.
“Nuwan Kulasekara retires ! At one stage, the number one ODI bowler in the world, but for every Indian, favourite Kulasekara moment is- “Dhoni finishes off in style.. India lift the world cup after 28 years,” Kaif added.
Here’s how Twitter react over Mohammad Kaif’s statement:

That's not how you celebrate someone's retirement. Somebody may ask your last test innings and why were you dropped straightaway #GroundedmyHero

Hi @MohammadKaif thanks for the reminder, but this is our favourite Nuwan Kulasekara moment, when his death bowling alongside Malinga was instrumental to lift the 2014 WT20 beating India.. pic.twitter.com/o1QGgtaCVt

He definitely has better moments than that to celebrate. Remember 2014 T20 WC final ?
