Umar Akmal, who was recently in the news because of his alleged misbehaviour with a trainer at Lahore’s National Cricket Academy (NCA), is again in news for all the wrong reasons. The Pakistani cricketer is not new for making fun of himself. On Wednesday, Akmal started trending on Twitter, for making a blunder while writing a caption of one of the posts which he shared on his official Twitter handle.

Ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) opener, an overlooked batsman Akmal had shared a post. Meanwhile, the fifth edition of the PSL will get underway from February 20 (Thursday).

However, he will not be partaking in the Gladiators due to suspension under Article 4.7.1. Well, Gladiators will face Islamabad United in the curtain-raiser at the National Stadium, Karachi.

Taking to Twitter, Akmal posted a picture with former Pakistan cricketer Abdul Razzaq. Interestingly, he captioned the post as, “mother from another brother.”

However, the correct caption should have been ‘brother from another mother’.

Soon after realising that he committed a blunder in the caption, he deleted the post. However, one of the Twitter users was quick to take the screenshot of Akmal’s post, and within no time, the post started going viral on the microblogging site.

Recently, Akmal was also in the news because of his behaviour with a trainer in the NCA during a fitness test. He had a heated argument with the trainer during a body checkup. After this incident, PCB had held an inquiry on the incident.

Luckily, Umar Akmal escaped any harsh punishment while he was warned and reminded of his responsibilities as a senior cricketer.

Also, the 29-year-old has lost the major chance to impress the selectors and team management with his performance in the PSL owing to a suspension from PCB.
